Ordering

Do you sell to individuals? In which countries?

versionpick sells to businesses only: the form asks you to confirm that you are ordering for a business, and there are no sales to individuals. The offer is for businesses established in metropolitan France, Corsica included, and for businesses established in another European Union country that have a valid EU VAT number. French overseas territories, Monaco and countries outside the European Union are not served yet. A business established in this area can pay with a card whose billing address is elsewhere.

What is the deposit for?

The deposit registers your request and sends it for review: Maxime accepts or declines it within 1 business day. It is 15% of the tier price, rounded up to the next euro, €149 minimum, and its amount is shown in euros on every tier and before you pay. You pay it by card through Stripe, and it is deducted from the final price.

How does payment work?

Two card payments, through Stripe: the deposit at the end of the form, then the balance when you keep a version. Each payment has its invoice, and the balance invoice refers to the deposit invoice. Your company name and billing address are asked for at payment.

Are prices shown with or without VAT?

Prices are shown in euros, excluding VAT, and they are the same in French and in English. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI). A business established in another European Union country gives its EU VAT number in the form: its invoice carries no French VAT, under the reverse-charge mechanism. The number is checked without holding up the payment; if it is not valid, Maxime writes to you for the right one, and without a valid number the request is declined and the deposit refunded. If French VAT becomes applicable, it is added to the price excluding VAT of every payment made from that change on, as the terms of sale provide.

What is not included in the packages?

Native phone apps, e-invoicing, large data migrations and connections to existing systems. If your project depends on one of these, say so in the form: you can still pay the deposit, your request is reviewed by Maxime within 1 business day, and your deposit is refunded if it is declined. An accepted request keeps the price of its tier: a point that does not fit in that price leads to a refusal, not to an extra charge.

How do I order an ERP, module by module?

You choose the first module in the form, from the list on the ERP page, and you try two versions of that module. A module outside that list is possible at the same price: you describe it, your request is reviewed as a request beyond the packages, and your deposit is refunded if Maxime declines it. Further modules are ordered by writing to Maxime: each one is delivered as a single version, added to your ERP, at the tier price.

In which language is the software delivered?

In French or in English, your choice, in the form. A second language is a new feature, quoted separately, except in a tier that includes multilingual support.

Can my software process health data?

Yes, if you host it with an HDS-certified host: versionpick’s server is not certified. Say so in the form; without such a host, the request is declined and your deposit is refunded. The trial versions only use fictitious data. The delivered software is put online directly with your HDS-certified host and never goes through versionpick’s servers; you give Maxime access for the 30 days of fixes, and the self-managed plan then applies.

Do I need to create an account?

No, and there is no password. Your client area opens with a sign-in link sent to your email address. There you find both versions and their trial accounts, the summary of your request with its price, the deposit paid and the terms of sale you accepted, and your decision deadline. Each invoice reaches you as a link, in the email that confirms the payment.

Is the service available in English?

Partly. The site is available in French and in English, with the same offer and the same prices. For now, the request form, the client area, the emails and the legal pages are in French only; English will follow.

Lead time, trial and decision

How long until I receive the two versions?

The current lead time is 5 business days after your request is accepted, and every paid request is accepted or declined within 1 business day. The lead time runs from acceptance, not from payment. It is indicative: the one that applies to your request is the lead time shown when you paid.

What happens when demand is high, or when Maxime is away?

When demand is high, a delay is possible, and the terms of sale provide for it. You can then cancel your request at any time before the versions are made available: your deposit is refunded in full. While Maxime is away, new requests may be suspended: the form stays open to estimate a price, but payment is closed and a message says so. Requests already paid keep their review deadline.

What are the two versions?

Two pieces of working software, not mockups. They cover the same scope with two different interface approaches. You find them as Version A and Version B, each with a sentence describing it, online with sample data and a trial account.

How long do I have to choose?

You have 14 days from when the versions are made available, and you get a reminder on day 7 and day 12. The deadline shown in your client area and in the emails falls 30 minutes before the end of the 14 days: it is the last moment to keep a version, so that the payment can go through. With no answer by day 14, your deposit is refunded automatically and the versions are switched off.

Can I cancel my request?

Yes, at any time before the versions are made available: write to Maxime through the “Cancel my request” link in your client area, and your deposit is refunded in full. Once the versions are online, the “Neither version works for me” button refunds your deposit immediately, during the 14 days of decision.

When is the deposit refunded?

One rule: if you keep no version, your deposit is refunded in full. That is the case if your request is declined at review, if you cancel it before the versions are made available, if you tell us within the 14 days that neither version works for you, if you have not answered by day 14, or if no version is delivered to you. If only one version is delivered to you, you choose between a full and immediate refund of your deposit and keeping that version with a discount equal to the amount of the deposit, on top of the deposit already deducted. The refund goes back to the card used for the deposit.

Do you use AI?

Yes, openly: it is what makes it possible to deliver two working versions within 5 business days of your request being accepted. The AI used is Claude, by Anthropic, under a business plan that does not train its models on your data; it receives the description of your needs to build the versions. Every version is then reviewed, tested and put into production by Maxime, a cybersecurity engineer.

After the purchase

Can I ask for adjustments after the purchase?

Yes. For 30 days after you pay the balance, bugs are fixed and small adjustments are made. You request them by email, by replying to the email that confirms your purchase: Maxime classifies each request as a fix, a small adjustment or a new feature, and answers you by email. A new feature gets a fixed-price quote before any work, including when you disagree with the classification. After the 30 days, the maintenance plan or a quote applies.

How does delivery work?

Your software is delivered within an indicative 5 business days of your paying the balance: it is a fresh installation with an empty database, except for the import of your existing data when your tier includes it. It is put online on your own domain name, with the DNS record Maxime gives you; if you do not have one yet, a versionpick address is used in the meantime. The domain purchase and email mailboxes are not included. The trial version is switched off at delivery, and the data you entered in it is deleted 30 days later. The code is handed over in a private Git repository, with its documentation.

Who hosts my software?

During the 30 days of fixes, versionpick hosts your software free of charge. Then you choose your plan: stay hosted with the maintenance plan, or leave with the code and the database. Software that processes health data is the exception: it is put online directly with your HDS-certified host.

What happens at the end of the 30 days of fixes?

You choose between two plans, by replying to the delivery email. Hosted: your software stays with versionpick, with the maintenance plan at €99 excl. VAT per month, hosting included; it is a monthly plan with no commitment, paid in advance by card and cancellable with 30 days’ notice. Self-managed: you receive the code, the database export and an installation guide for a Linux server with Docker; your infrastructure is your own responsibility, and an installation on your premises is a fixed-price service, quoted for each project. If you do not choose, you get a reminder, then 30 days’ notice; the export is then handed over to you and hosting stops.

What does the maintenance plan include?

The maintenance plan, at €99 excl. VAT per month, includes hosting with versionpick and keeping your software running and secure: system security fixes, Node.js and PostgreSQL updates, vulnerabilities in the dependencies and in the delivered code, HTTPS certificates, daily off-server backups with a restore tested every quarter, monitoring, incidents and a monthly report. A critical vulnerability is fixed within 5 business days, and an incident is taken on within 1 business day. Not included: new features, quoted separately, support beyond simple questions, data migration, connections to other software, hosting-provider outages, which Maxime reports and follows up on, and damage caused by a third party’s intervention. A major framework upgrade is included when security requires it, and quoted otherwise. A new price applies to a subscriber after 30 days’ notice.

Who owns the code?

You do. The code written for the version you keep is assigned to you exclusively once paid in full, and handed over in a private Git repository with its documentation. The shared building blocks versionpick reuses from one project to the next are licensed to you on a non-exclusive, perpetual basis, as set out in the terms of sale. The version you do not keep, like the versions of a refunded request, stays with versionpick, which may reuse it after removing everything specific to you: name, data, texts.

Can I leave with the code and the data?

Yes. On request, you receive within 10 business days the Git repository, a standard PostgreSQL export and an installation guide. While you stay hosted, this is free once a year, and quoted beyond that. The export handed over when hosting ends, at the end of the 30 days, on cancellation or for non-payment, is always free, even if you do not ask for it. Handing it over triggers the deletion of your software’s data from versionpick’s server; the backups erase themselves within 30 days.
